We've reached costa rica - the land of adventure, white water and many many jungles, volcanoes and beaches.

For now, we are residing in this hotel in San Jose, capital city of costa rica. It's a boring city, merely serving as a base from which to go out and explore the rest of costa rica. And we are intending to stay here for 2 days so we can do day trips for whitewater rafting (tomorrow)and (active) volcano climbing, coffee plantation visit, and waterfallsvisit (Monday).

People are generally friendly and things are rather cheap. Found a hotel with aircon, attached bath, cable tv for US$35 for a large quad room. it's in a central location. nothing luxurious but comfortable enough.

BTW, Singtel doesn't roam here, so we're uncontactable and plunged into 10 days of radio silence. bliss!! =)

ate this really yummy caramel cream filled churro which cost like 20cents... going white water rafting tmrw, and on monday to some volcano and waterfalls. haven't yet decided what else to do, but probably trying to go to this volcano/hotspring/spa resort towards the end of the week...

off to dinner now. till the next Internet cafe!
